Stories, stories, stories...
I´ve been away from the computer for a week and haven´t been able to write anything. Sorry amigos. Tons of stuff has happened since so I will point form update
- last Sunday went to Taray for a week of classes in the Sacred Valley. Beautiful, relaxing, warmer than Cusco!
- met 4 new amazing people from the states, Kimberley, Britt, Susan, Bridgette love you all. You´re all hilarious
- Tuesday went to the salt mines at Salinas
- Thursday went to the Pisac Ruins, had a bonfire at night, with marshmellows and chocolate of course, then had some beers, played Kings, great times
- Saturday left Taray, said goodbye to Martin, tear, hopefully we will meet again in Arequipa, and checked into a hostel in Pisac, went to the ruins at Ollantayambo, didn´t have time for Moray unfortunately, went back to Pisac for some drinks and dinner
- Sunday morning got woken up at 500 am because of the lovely church bells outside our hostel ringing for about 20 mintues, then the always welcoming fireworks that make you think you´re in the middle of a war zone, had a delish breakfast at Ulrikas then spent 2 hours wandering the MASSIVE market and shopping, gifts for others and myself.
- Got back to Cusco at 1 and started our search for jungle trips. Unsuccessfully. Met Brittany at Indigo before she left on her Machu Pichu trek then watched Thank You for Smoking, I heart Indigo so much! Favourite place to be in Cusco
- Monday started class again, only one other guy from Sweden in my class, then Hamish and I did more jungle trip searching. Don´t really remember much else....
- Tuesday, finally booked our flight to Puerto Maldanado and paid for our Tambopata Lodge 5 day trip, friggin expensive but going to be totally worth it! Then met up with everyone at Fallen Angels for dinner, trippy place, friggin weird but really cool and apparently a gay bar. So expensive though. Jesus and Luis (teachers) met us there and took us to some bar that was playing some sweet 80 music, danced a bit then came home.
And that my friends has roughly been my week. I don´t really have any time to myself or for resting, reading, writing which makes me very sleepy but its all good. Moved out of the homestay and into the second student res which is really nice. Share it with Victoria and have a private bathroom. Going to Sasyawoman today, dont know how to spell it and Machu Pichu on Saturday morning, coming back Sunday night then leaving for the jungle monday morning, so probably won´t be around much. Tonight is trivia night at Mandela´s and tomorrow a goodbye party for Kimberley.
