Pancake Martes

Last night we had a pancake feast! I usually don´t even like pancakes but I stuffed my face yesterday. Apparently in Holland you eat them with cheese so thats what we did and it was so good! You could really barely taste it. On the table we had plates of cheese, tomato, grapes, strawberries, guacamole, cooked apples in cinamon, honey, syrup, ham and probably something else too. Before the pancakes were ready I broke out my jar of honey I bought at a local market on saturday and was just eating it by itself, then dipping the apples into it, then the best of it all, dipped the crackers Bridgette was eating in there, TASTY! Going to go out and get me some of those crackers and finish that jar of honey today. Then it was pancake time.

My first two pancakes were cheese filled ones with cheese and tomato and guacamole on top, seriously so good, so weird but so good. Then I had one with cheese and strawberries, also a fan. Then I took a little break and just ate some chips and the cooked apples straight from the bowl. Then they broke out the chocolate sauce - I had to go back for more. The one I had with chocolate was sin queso, I spread the choclate on top, put in some grapes and stuffed it in my face. Everyone was waiting for the regular pancakes without cheese but once they came out we just weren´t impressed, we´ve been converted to the Dutch way.

After dinner we all just sat around watching a game of tennis (or other people were). Chris was playing DJ with Bridgette´s Ipod and Howard and I were feeling it all night, singing and dancing and generally being ridiculous. Very fun night.

This morning I woke up to the smell of pancakes again. I forgot wednesday was pancake day. I had another 2 for breakfast with my honey. I´ve had enough now. Going to try to upload more pictures today but also have something else I might do, which is a surprise! Wait til January. Sorry there are no pictures on this, the computers are so slow its just a lot easier to put them on Facebook, but I´m going to burn them to a CD today so I should be able to colour up this here blog of mine a tad.

PS- decided against paraguilding, really want to but its WAY too cold lately and windy and rainy and just don´t see that being a good idea what with all the mountains and all, will for sure do it in Ecuador though!
