No more papas!
I only have 4 days left in Cusco and its really depressing. I really don´t want to leave. As much as it will be nice to see some place new and be somewhere warmer I feel really at home here right now and feel like I need a few more weeks here before heading to Ecuador. But money just isn´t allowing that to happen. I looked into the cost but the school here is a lot more expensive than the one in Quito so I´m just going to have to suck it up and say my goodbyes friday night. A bunch of other people are actually leaving the same day as me so it makes it a bit easier and not that many new people are showing up anymore but still I just don´t want to leave the friends I´ve made and the places I´m so used to going to everyday (even though I must admit lately I just can´t sit in Indigo for hours every night anymore and hopefully Quito will be slightly less touristy as Cusco because thats the one thing that I really can´t stand)...moving on
Saturday Lisa, Victoria, Anna and I spend the day basically doing nothing. Went shopping in San Blas, went to Jacks for a coffee which was actually made with real milk not the condensed stuff which was a massive treat for us. Anna had a moment like my queso y huevos breakfast sandwich and started crying while drinking her hot chocolate because it was so good. The inside of the cup was lined with delicious melted chocolate, it truly was a beautiful thing. After that mindblowing experience we went back to the residence and sat on the balcony drinking beers and having an intense and very giddy girl talk. Went to A le Petite France for a crepe dinner to of course to Indigo to meet up with some people. Watched Pulp Fiction. First time I saw it (sad I know) and it is now in my top favs, so fucking good! Went over to the student flat where one of the Holland girls made a delish dinner (some kind of noodles), then we played poker. Bridgette and I were a team since she didn´t know how to play at all and it has been awhile since I have. We were doing pretty good even though everyone was making fun of our stupid choices on which hands to play (i now know never to play a 7, 3 thank you Howard!) We lost that one but the second game I came back with a vengence and beat out Mathias in the end and won the 25soles.
Sunday, went to San Blas for lunch and drinks. Had a ginger and lime tea (just fresh in hot water, totally recommend it and sweeten it with just a bit of honey) and wrote some postcards. Í´m sorry I haven´t sent them earlier people but they are expensive but they will be coming your way shortly! Then we headed back to the school and Chris, Anna, Sophie, Mathias and I went to a Cusco football game. My first football(soccer) game and we should totally have it in Canada, or at least more people should care about it. It was so fun, guys were singing and playing music for the entire game and I sat there dancing with my sweet ass hat I bought and enjoying my lolly! Went to Los Perros for diner then once again to Indigo. Met up with some others and went back to the flat to watch a movie, wanted to watch 23 but it was locked in someones room so we watched the Constant Gardiner instead. Good, but depressing and I feel asleep. (good night! haha)
Tonight started back to class, taking private lessons this week and Im pretty sure Madga thought I was an idiot because I couldn´t remember the future and gerundios but whatever, itll will come to me when the time is right...
Went back to Los Perros with Chris after lunch for the best friggin ice cream then had a much needed nap all afternoon. I feel so lazy when I spend the day doing absolutley nothing and then just sleeping for hours considering this is my last week and there is still stuff and places I havent seen but it is so nice to just sleep. After our nap the 3 of us (Lisa y Victoria) layed in our beds listening to Damien Rice, I introduced them to Delicate, it was a beauitful moment, they teach me german, I give them depressing music, its a fair trade.
Now people are waiting for me at school to start watching Volver, ciao!
