Me gusta Cusco
I survived my 10 hour bus ride from Arequipa back to Cusco. However, paying more money for the nicer bus didn´t work out quite as I had planned. I should have checked my backpack but it isn´t that big so I always bring it on with me but this time not a great idea. Although the seats were really comfortable there was minimal leg room and my bag took up the majority of it. I had my knees up and when the guy infront of me put his chair back I was trapped for awhile because there wasn´t enough room to shove my legs back down. I thought I was going to be lucky and have an empty seat beside me but then this guy, this BIG guy comes and sits down. When I finally could put my legs back down he had his leg in my spot and was inching on to my chair. Not so cool, then he continued to snore all night which thanks to my Ipod wasn´t that bad. And while I have never had a problem sleeping on the buses, Im using passed out right away, I barely slept all night, which made for a pretty long trip. It was ok though because I knew my destination was Cusco and Victoria and Lisa were waiting for me.
I checked into a hostel and slept for a few hours then went to visit moso at Munich for breakfast then went up to the residence to surprise my roomies early. Very excited moment. I was greeted with endless stories of the events I missed over the last 4 days and we prepared ourselves to create new ones.
They have the day off from volunteering today so we are going shopping the going to plant ourselves on our beautiful balcony and drink the 6 pack of Cesqueña I won 2 weeks ago from Bingo. Going to be a very very good day (and weekend, my last in Cusco, so sad, have to make it memorable!)
