Compre muchos cosas
I just got back from a mini shopping trip. Yes I have done a lot of shopping but to be honest I just can´t go into another market with ponchos, chompars, gringo pants etc. etc. I mean I do love the stuff but I miss regular stores. So today I went into Topy Top (stupidest name for a store ever), which has regular clothes, not touristy stuff. I´m coming to the end of my 6th week and I honestly don´t know how I´m going to make it til January with the few clothes I brought. I keep imaging all my pretty clothes, patiently waiting for me at home, missing me. Sigh... And it drives me crazy becaues I had 4 extra tops (that I love) in my bag and last minute I took them out thinking I had too much. Everyone else here has a ship load of stuff and I just keep on recycling. Plus when its really cold like today I have to wear like 3 shirts, thats half of my clothes! I just need to hang on til I get to Ecuador where it will be warmer and I can break out my shorts and tanks and bathing suit and feel like I´m starting over again. So I did treat myself to 2 tops at Topy Top then I went to Gato´s and got some chocolate and coconut cookies, to satisfy the cravings. Victoria, Lisa and Anna are eating chocolate all the time but I haven´t bought any, its too expensive, but I broke down today. When I get back to my room I´m going to lay under my 4 blankets savour my chocolate and do my homework.
Also...I just treated myself once more by spending the last half hour on Perez. I didn´t want to do it but I saw a picture in the newspaper here last week about Owen Wilson attempting suicide and just felt I´m far too out of touch with celebrity culture.
