Burn motherfucker Burn.

There was a festival here in Antigua last night. The Burning of the Devil. Seriously the name of it. No one seemed to know the reason why they do it. There was an article about it in the paper and I started to read it but felt to sick to think in spanish but from what I understand of the first couple paragraphs its been going on for years but today people have forgotten its significance and its become something for the tourists. Helpful. The devil itself was pretty small, only like a meter, maybe a meter and a half in height. It was so packed with people that I only saw it from a distance but the greatest, or stupidest, part of the whole thing was that it was set up beside 2 gas stations. Great place for a large fire really. After this guy with some cage like thing over him started running around with fireworks flying in every directions and people running out of the way. The fireworks were literally exploding beside the gas tanks. Genius. I guess people said something about the safety of the location, so for the days leading up to the big burn the devil was right infront of the gas stations but for the burning they moved it like 100meters back, which totally makes it ok. There was a fire truck near by, at least someone was thinking.

This clown went on stage afterwards and was singing in english with kids dancing on the stage with him. It was more entertaining than the burning thing.
